Privacy Policy
Effective: June 14, 2026
TeachersForge ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
1. Who we are
TeachersForge is a product of McCane Creations LLC, based in Mayer, Arizona, USA. Contact: hello@teachersforge.com
2. Information we collect
When you create an account or use TeachersForge, we collect:
- Account information: first name, last name, email address, password (stored as a bcrypt hash — we never see it).
- Classroom profile: your school name, class/room name, grade you teach, main subject, state, language preference.
- Generated content: the inputs you type to create worksheets, exit tickets, etc. We keep a record so we can show you your history.
- Technical data: IP address and browser type (for security and abuse prevention).
- Payment information: processed exclusively by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card number.
3. How we use your information
- To provide the service (generate worksheets personalized with your name and school).
- To process payments via Stripe.
- To communicate with you about your account (plan changes, issues, improvements).
- To improve the product based on aggregate usage patterns (never individual content).
4. What we do NOT do
- ❌ We do not sell your information. Ever. To anyone.
- ❌ We do not share your content with other teachers without your explicit permission.
- ❌ We do not show ads on TeachersForge.
- ❌ We do not use your data to train third-party AI models.
4b. Student data and FERPA
TeachersForge is built for teachers, not students. Students do not have accounts on TeachersForge.
- What we store: we store the prompts you type and a summary of the material you generated, as part of your account history — so you can see your past work.
- What we never require: we never ask for student names, grades, disciplinary records, or any other student personal information.
- Teacher responsibility: if you voluntarily type a student name or other identifying information into a prompt (for example, "write an email to Mateo's mom"), that text is processed and stored as part of your history. Please follow your school's FERPA policy before including student personal information in any prompt.
- What we do NOT do with that content: we do not sell it, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train AI models.
- Data Processing Agreement (DPA): schools and districts that need a formal DPA or signed FERPA addendum can write us at hello@teachersforge.com.
- Delete your history: you can request deletion of your generation history at any time by writing to the same address. We respond within 7 days.
5. How we protect your information
Your password is hashed with bcrypt. Your connection to TeachersForge uses HTTPS. Payments are protected by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant). We make regular backups.
6. Your rights
You can:
- View and edit your profile any time from your dashboard.
- Request a copy of all your data by emailing hello@teachersforge.com.
- Delete your account and all your data by sending a request to the same address. We respond within 7 days.
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies to keep you logged in. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies.
8. Children
TeachersForge is built for teachers (adults). We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please email us so we can remove it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll notify you by email before the change takes effect.
